Gerald Gamble ’60
Brother Gamble is the President/Owner of Gerald L. Gamble Co., Inc. He has been active in the brokerage of properties in the Oklahoma City area for over 40 years, specializing in the sale and leasing of commercial, industrial, and investment properties.
Gamble is a past President of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Association of Realtors and a past President of the 9,000-member Oklahoma Association of Realtors. He was named Oklahoma’s Realtor of the Year in 1986.
Gerald is an active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors and holds the CCIM designation. He is a member of the Counselors of Real Estate and the Oklahoma Bar Association. Gamble was named Oklahoma City’s “Outstanding Young Man” in 1974. He served in the United States Air Force Reserve and obtained the rank of Captain.
His professional and civic involvement include past Chairman of the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, past Chairman of the Oklahoma City Economic Development Foundation, past President of the Last Frontier Council – Boy Scouts of America, and past President of the Oklahoma City Phi Beta Kappa Society. Currently he is serving as a Trustee for Oklahoma City University, the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, and the Oklahoma United Methodist Foundation.
In 1963 Gerald graduated with a BA from OU, then received his Master of Arts from Stanford University in 1964. In 1968, he received his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University.
During his time at OU, brother Gamble was President of Student Body and a Student Senate. He also performed puppet shows for Sooner Scandals and ODK Talent Show. He was a member of Pe-et Society and Omicron Delta Kappa Society (ODK). He was named a Woodrow Wilson Fellow for Graduate Studies and was awarded Outstanding Senior Man. He currently serves as a member of board of advisors for School of Arts and Sciences at OU.
He is married to Jane Jayroe and has one stepson, Tyler Jayroe, and two grandchildren, Luke and Maya.
