Kyle Payne, 2002 Model Initiate for OU Kappa Sigma, is a 15-Year Liquor Industry Veteran who has progressed his career in many key markets, as well as major Distributors.
Originally from Claremore, OK, Kyle graduated from OU in May 2005 and immediately began his career in Tulsa as a sales rep for E&J Gallo Winery. The next 8 years involved 4 more promotions including roles in Oklahoma, Florida (Orlando), Houston, and Dallas.
In late 2014, Kyle accepted a Director role for the state of Texas for Republic National Distributing, managing Pernod Ricard’s portfolio. Not long after, Kyle moved to Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits in 2016 to direct and manage the newly created Transatlantic Sales Division, consisting of Bacardi, Patron, and Heaven Hill supplier portfolios. In late 2017, Kyle was promoted to Bacardi USA from the distributor role to manage their business over 4 states—OK, LA, IN, and KY. This move allowed Kyle and his family to relocate to Oklahoma.
Throughout all the moves, he has still maintained his closest circle of friends—his Kappa Sigma brothers. They still see each other weekly, and even take multiple vacations together with their families in the summer. Kappa Sigma truly is not about a semester or college term only----but for Life!
Kyle earned his B.S. Degree in May of 2005 with a major in Marketing, and a minor in Human Relations. He received his Certified Specialist of Wine certification in Fall of 2009.
Kyle resides in Edmond, OK with his Chi Omega wife of 13 years, Angela. They have 3 children (Landon-8, Sydney-5, and Maryn-7 months). He is active in the Edmond community as a coach for baseball, football, and soon-to-be softball. In his personal time, he enjoys golfing, exercising, and attending any OU sporting event.\
